Instructions

    • 1

Cover the bottom of your baby's foot in water-based white paint, making sure to cover all the toes. Gently press the painted foot onto a black piece of paper -- this will be the ghost. Set the footprint aside to dry.

    • 2

Cut out an orange piece of cardstock to approximately ½ inch by 1 ½ inches. On this orange piece, spell the word "trick" using white stickers.

    • 3

Print or write "or treat" on a small tag.

    • 4

Affix the orange piece of cardstock that states “trick” and the tag with glue onto a patterned piece of cardstock that is folded to make a 3-inch-by-5-inch card.

    • 5

Print or write "smell my feet. Give me something good to eat!" onto a white piece of cardstock. Glue this white piece of paper onto the inside of the card.

    • 6

Cut a black strip of cardstock approximately 1 inch by 5 inches. On this piece of cardstock, affix "Happy Halloween" using white letter stickers. Glue this black piece of paper onto the bottom inside of card.

    • 7

Cut around the footprint making a ghost shape once the footprint is dry. Apply a pop dot onto the back of the ghost cut out. Place on patterned cardstock.

    • 8

Using two small sticky dots, place googly eyes onto the footprint to make ghost eyes.

    • 9

Add a checker bow using a sticky dot and use a white thin point pen to accent the corners with a small dot, if desired.

    • 10

Using a sticky dot, attach a black button to the top of tag.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is easiest to get baby's footprint while he is sleeping.

  • Colors can be modified -- use your cardstock stash.

  • Wash your baby's foot immediately or the paint will get all over.
