It's perfectly alright for your boyfriend to get mad at you talking to guy friends, or you talking for extended periods to random guys. You shouldn't be doing that anyway. How you know if your boyfriend's crazy is if he does this for routine things you have to do throughout life, like getting mad because you said thank you to the checkout guy. If so, that's unhealthy jealousy for a relationship, because you will, if you don't already, start to feel smothered. So check how your relationship beau reacts with you and other random guys.

After you check out your beau and other guys, you must check out how he reacts to your blowups. To know if your boyfriend is crazy, you have to manufacture some drama. I know, I'm giving away the secrets of the sisterhood, but it's really not a secret. Every guy in a relationship knows he's going through some crap manufactured solely by you, but if he likes you, he'll put up with it. If he's just a drama king looking for excitement, he'll get just as worked up as you, and that's how you know he's crazy, and not good marriage material.

After you check him with friends and yourself, you must check him with himself. Young guys usually have work trouble, family trouble -- check to see how he handles it. Again, you're looking for relative calm amidst the storm -- you need him to be your rock, anyway. You should be the one able to act PMSy if you want to, not him. So to know if your boyfriend is crazy, check him after a personal crisis. If he rolls with the punches, he's good. If he's able to give some back without losing his cool, even better.
