Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vodka or pure frain alcohol
  • Clean, resealable bottle.
  • Liqueur flavoring
  1. Step 1

Liqueurs can be made with almost any flavor. Most people choose a fruit for their first attempts. Some recommended fruits are cherries, peaches and citrus.

  2. Step 2

Fill a bottle about two-thirds full with the fruit of choice.

  3. Step 3

Add alcohol or vodka until the bottle is almost full. Seal the bottle.

  4. Step 4

Place the bottle in a clean, dry place. Many people just put theirs top of the refrigerator. Wait at least one month. Taste the liqueur to determine if it is ready.

  5. Step 5

After the flavor has reached your desired level, you may strain and pour the finished liqueur into another bottle or leave it as is. Many people feel the fruit floating in the liquid adds visual interest. Serve as you would a purchased liqueur--over ice, mixed or as a shot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sweeter liqueurs can be made by adding one part simple syrup (sugar dissolved in water) to three parts alcohol.
