Instructions

    • 1

Using the compass, draw out a circle approximately eight inches in diameter. Cut out circle. Holding the bottom center of the circle, roll the paper to form a point at the bottom and a wide opening at the top. The top of the cone will have the back side higher than the front. Use the glue gun to glue the exposed seam to the back of the cone. Let dry for approximately 10 minutes.

    • 2

Punch a hole in the center of the top part of cone. Put hole on the high side, not the area where the sides of the paper meet.

    • 3

Cut off a piece of ribbon approximately one foot in length. Loop ribbon through the hole, but do not tie ribbon.

    • 4

Fill the cone with a small bunche of fresh flowers.

    • 5

Attach the cone to the back of the beach chair by either tying it directly to the slots on the back of the chair or tying it around the sides of the chair. Attach cone with the high part of the cone against the chair so you can easily see inside of the cone. Tie a knot first and then a bow. Attach each cone in the same location of every chair for a uniform look.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can personalize your cones by using a monogram stamp of your initials. Stamp before rolling cone so the paper can lay flat. Instead of the same types of flower in each cone, add some color by using a variety of flowers and styles.

  • Do not insert your flowers into the cones early. Wait until only a few hours before the event so they are guaranteed to look fresh. Do not insert wet or damp flowers into the cone.
