YouTube is a Web site of user-uploaded videos for sharing with other Internet users. It has a search feature and a wide-range of videos. Downloading these videos is quick and easy with a free tool.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Visit youtube.com and browse to find a video you want to view. Search for videos by keywords in the search box at the top of the home page.

  2. Step 2

    Select a video to watch from the list of returns. If the video is one you want to download, copy the URL of the video from the address bar at the top of your Web browser.

  3. Step 3

    Visit savevid.com and and paste the URL into the green text box under the heading "How Can I Download Videos?" Click the yellow "Download" button.

  4. Step 4

    Select your download preferences. Choose from four download options ranging from low to high quality, depending on your computer system and your purposes for the video.

  5. Step 5

    Choose "Save File" when the next window appears asking you what to do with the download file. Click "OK."

  6. Step 6

    The video will be downloaded to your hard drive. Open the video and press "Play" to preview it. Rename the video, if desired.
