How to Make Hair Buns
Hair buns are an up-do worn on the back of the head by females. The shape resembles a round bread roll or bun. Hair must be at least long enough to get into a ponytail to wear this style. The quintessential sign of a ballerina, buns also make appearances at formal events, such as weddings and proms, for an elegant look. The ponytail pull-through bun method tucks away hair ends, leaving a clean finish. When much head movement is expected, as in dancing, use hair spray over the whole head to secure the style. Does this Spark an idea?

Open the hair net and scoop up hair from the bottom and sides, resting the bottom rim of the net against the under side of the bun. Holding up the top sides of the net, twist the net 180 degrees and switch into opposite hands, so that it crosses just above the bun. Hold net sides out just above the bun.

Lay net flat with its edge cupping either the top or bottom of the bun. Pin down the edges of the netted bun closest to the scalp all the way around, pushing in bobby pin ends until the top edge of the pin is barely visible. Tuck any loose pieces of hair inside or underneath, pinning securely into place.
Tips & Warnings
If the available hair elastic is too small to pull hair through three times, pull it through halfway the second time and delete the third pull. Select a hair net closest to hair color for least visibility. Bangs may be curled under to frame the face, brushed back and bobby pinned or kept in place with hair spray.
