How to Make a Change of Mailing Address

If you are moving, you will need to notify the United States Postal Service to have mail addressed to your former residence forwarded to your new residence. According to the United States Postal Service (USPS) Website, most mail will be forwarded for 12 months after the date you specify. Periodicals (magazines and newspapers) will only be forwarded to you for 60 days. Standard mail will not be forwarded. This includes mail order merchandise under one lb., sales circulars and catalogs.
