How to Computer Prank Your Parents

If you want to prank your parents, you need to be careful. You should always try and think of pranks that will not be too embarrassing, so that they will be able to laugh with you about the prank. Otherwise, your prank might make your parents angry and you might get in trouble. This computer prank is great for parents because it is funny, and doesn't do any lasting damage.

Instructions

1. Take a screen shot of your parents' computer desktop and save the image.

2. Set the image that you just created as the new wallpaper image.

3. Hide all of the icons on the computer by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and de-selecting the show icon option.

4. Hide the toolbar by dragging the top of toolbar all the way to the bottom of the screen.

5. Leave the computer alone and wait for your parents to use it. When they sit down, they will be able to move the mouse on the screen as usual, but nothing on the screen will react when they click on it. (Remember, they are seeing a picture of their usual desktop, not the real thing.) This should lead to plenty of frustration and confusion!

Tips & Warnings

• You should only let your parents be confused for a short amount of time before telling them that they have been pranked. It would be terrible if they brought the computer in to be fixed and wasted money as a result of your prank!
