How to Find Lost Toolbar Options in Microsoft Word 2003: Recovering and Restoring Previous Toolbar Settings and Tab Options

Microsoft Office 2003 enables you to customize Microsoft Word for streamlined use. You can add and remove options to and from the toolbars and menus. If the Word 2003 toolbar becomes cluttered, if another user changes the toolbars and tabs without permission or if you can no longer find a toolbar or menu option, you can revert the settings to default, restoring the original toolbar and tab settings.

Instructions

1. Click "Tools" from the main menu. Click "Customize." Click the "Options" tab.

2. Check "Always Show Full Menus." Select "Reset Menu and Toolbar Usage Data" to restore the previous toolbar and tab options.

3. Restart Microsoft Word 2003 after resetting the toolbar options.
