It's getting close to my favorite Holiday, Halloween. Spooky decorations are a must. Here is an easy and cheap way to make spiders for hanging or adding to webs. Plus your kids will love to help.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Egg Cartons
  • Sissors
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Tape
  • Skewer (metal)
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Elastic String
  1. Step 1

Cut out a cup from the egg carton. With the skewer, carefully punch 8 holes around the bottom (for his legs) and one at the top if you want to hang your spider.

  2. Step 2

Paint the outside of the cup and let it dry thoroughly. Cut pipe cleaners into 8 equal parts, these are legs for your spider.

  3. Step 3

Put the legs (pipe cleaners) into the 8 holes on the bottom, then bend them into shape. Inside of the cup bend the pipe cleaners over and tape them into place.

  4. Step 4

Now you can decide to hang them or add them to other decorations, that's the beauty of pipe cleaners, they are flexible and easy to work with. I add these to my spider web decorations, but they can be put almost anywhere. If you are hanging them thread elastic string throw the top hole putting a knot at the end. Now watch them bounce.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are no limits, use your imagination.
  • Adult supervision required.
