How to Make Star Paper Napkin Rings

Place settings that include all of the required components can show guests that the hostess put thought and effort into preparing the table. However, the cost of store-bought napkin rings and other tableware can quickly add up. Hostesses can save money by crafting their own napkin rings from paper and decorating them with elements such as stars. Does this Spark an idea?

Fold the napkin (see napkinfoldingguide.com in Resources).

4
Wrap the construction paper strip around the middle of the folded napkin.

Overlap the two ends of the strip. Glue them together with a glue stick to form a ring.

Apply glue to the middle of the star. Press the spot that has glue on it against the overlapping portion of the paper ring. You may need to spin the ring slightly clockwise or counterclockwise in order to center the star.

7
Include additional decorations on the ring and/or star if you wish. Ideas include gluing rhinestones or glitter to the middle of the star and using markers to draw designs on the paper.
