How to Make Homemade Coleslaw

  • 2 heads of cabbage
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste

      First get out a big mixing bowl and a cheese grater.

      Take your 2 heads of cabbage and cut out the center core in both of them. Throw the cores away. Or if you want a more spicy coleslaw leave the cabbage cores in the cabbage.

      Take and grate both heads of cabbage with or without the core depending on whatever you want until completely fine. Normally you will have to grate what you already grated again for the perfect texture.

      Then take and grate your carrot into fine slices. Grate depending on the size you want.

      Add your 1 cup of mayonnaise and stir in for appoximately 1 minute until all the cabbage and carrots are coated with mayonnaise.

      Add your 1 tbs of sugar and mix in well. This step is up to you not everyone likes sugar in there coleslaw.

      Salt and pepper to taste. Normally about 1 tsp of each.

      Serve immediately or place in the refridgerator for cold cole slaw.

      Great for fish dinners or hot dogs.
