Things You'll Need:
- 1 yard of tulle
- 1 yard of gross grain ribbon. For best results choose ribbon that is at least 1/2 inch thick.

Step 1
Fold your yard of tulle in half, and then half again. Trim the Tutu to the length you desire. I find a tutu of more than 4 inches to be too much for a T-shirt. Of course the choice is yours.

Step 2
Pin your Tutu around the shirt about 2 inches above the bottom of the shirt. At each pin, fold fabric over to gather the tull. Cut off excess.

Step 3
Sew one stitch around to secure the tutu to the T-shirt.

Pin the ribbon around the edge of the tutu to give it a nice finish. Sew one stitch across the top of the ribbon and one across the bottom.

Step 5
Consider embellishing your tutu shirt with a ribbon applique. Of course you don't want to go overboard, sometimes simple is best.

Wash this tutu t-shirt on delicate or hand-wash cycles. Line dry.
