During hurricane season, it is wise to buy kits or make a kit of your own so that you can be prepared if one comes your way. Do not be left in the dark.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, you need to write down how many people are in your family, and account for those who may have to come stay with you during this time. Once you have written down a number, it's time to make your list of emergency supplies to help you get through the hurricane and days to follow.

  2. Step 2

Emergency food, which includes items that you do not have to cook. It does not have to be a lot unless you have a lot of people. So before you make your kit, ask others to make one as well. The more you have ready, the better for all.

  3. Step 3

Other items that you should include in your hurricane are as follows: water, lighting, radio, first-aid kits, sanitation and shelter supplies. It is a good idea to have a pop up tent if it is that crucial.
Solar flashlights, a power generator which allows you to use your cell phone. You can also use this to help emergency people to find you by having a flashing siren.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have a plan of action after the hurricane hits.
