Make Double Chip Cookies
Make Double Chip Cookies

These cookies are very yummy. It's a good change from the ordinary chocolate chip cookies. If you subsistence the white chocolate chips, for vanilla, it makes these cookies caffeine and chocolate free. You can also omit the nuts if you are allergic or sensitive.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 6 oz of white chocolate chips or vanilla flavor
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 5 oz of peanut butter chips
  1. Step 1

Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl. You can use light or dark brown sugar. I prefer to use the dark brown sugar.

  2. Step 2

Mix in the eggs one at a time. Be sure to beat between adding each one in.

  3. Step 3

Mix in the vanilla extract. If you don't like a vanilla taste, reduce it to 1 teaspoon instead of 1 1/2 teaspoons.

  4. Step 4

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together.

  5. Step 5

Slowly add the flour mixture to the cream mixture, while beating on low.

  6. Step 6

Fold in the chips and pecan. You can use walnuts if you prefer, or you might use a pecan and walnut mixture.

  7. Step 7

Drop out onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If your cookie sheet has the tendency to stick, line the pan with wax paper.
