Thai chilies are known for being extremely hot. They are great when used in Thai cooking! This is a great recipe for a spicy Thai chili sauce that will knock your socks off!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 Red Thai Chili Peppers
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Shallot
  • 1 Can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 TBSP Distilled White Vinegar
  • Blender
  • Can Opener
  1. Step 1

The first thing that you need to do in order to make this great spicy sauce, is to gather all of the ingredients. Nearly everything that you need can be found at your local grocery store. The Thai chilies however, may have to be bought at a store that specializes in Asian cuisine.

  2. Step 2

Once your ingredients have been collected, wash the 8 chilies thoroughly, and cut off the tops of them to remove the stems. Now that the stems have been removed, place the Thai chilies in a blender.

  3. Step 3

Next, rough chop the 4 cloves of garlic, as well as the shallot and toss them into the blender as well.

  4. Step 4

Using a can opener, open the 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes, and pour the contents into the blender with the other ingredients. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar, and blend until the sauce is smooth.

  5. Step 5

You can serve this with your favorite stir-fry, or you can add it to a curry dish to spice it up. It also tastes pretty good with tortilla chips!
