Things You'll Need:
- Hot water
- White vinegar
- Dry Mop
- Spray Bottle
- Broom
- Clean towels
-
Step 1
Properly Cleaning a Wood Laminate Floor.
The first step is to run your tap water until it runs very hot water. Then fill the spray bottle up about half way with the hot water. -
Step 2
Next, take the white vinegar and fill the spray bottle the rest of the way up. Then shake it up very well.
-
Step 3
Next, sweep the wood laminate floor very well to remove all of the loose debris from the floor that might cause scratches when mopping.
-
Step 4
Next, start generously spraying the spray bottle mixture of hot water and vinegar onto the wood laminate floor. Make sure to cover every inch of the wood laminate floor with the mixture. If you run out, you can add more hot water and vinegar to the spray bottle.
-
Step 5
Next, while the mixture is still wet on the floor, take the dry mop and start mopping the wood laminate floor in circles. Mop the floor by using clock wise circles. This will get the mixture well into the cracks and crevices of the wood laminate floor.
-
Step 6
Next, when you have finished dry mopping the hot water, vinegar mixture into the wood laminate floor, take a dry towel and buff the floor dry. The dry towel buffing will also bring the shine out of the wood laminate floor. You can lay the towel down on the floor and use the dry mop to push the towel around the floor to buff it to a shine or you can use your hands to rub the towel into the wood laminate floor. Either way, the hot water, vinegar will safely clean the floor while the towel buffing will make the wood laminate floor shine.
