Cleaning a wood laminate floor is a very easy process if done properly. Wood laminate flooring does not mesh with just any type of cleaning products -- as a matter of fact, you shouldn't even use them. Things You'll Need

  • Broom or dust mop
  • Wet mop
  • Bucket
  • Towels
  • Nail polish remover
  • Vinegar

      Remove dust, dirt and grit with a broom or dust mop.

      Fill a bucket with warm water. Dip the mop into the water and wring it out thoroughly. Too much moisture will warp and crack laminate flooring. Mop with the grain of the wood. Wet the mop and wring it out thoroughly as needed.

      Dry the laminate floor with a towel. Be sure to get all moisture off the floor to avoid damage.

      Moisten a towel with some nail polish remover and rub it over any stubborn stains such as tar or oil. Rinse with a damp towel and dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add 1 cup of vinegar to a gallon of water for a stronger cleaner.

  • Do not use soap or abrasive cleaners on the wood laminate floor.
