• rust remover
• soap & water
• newspaper
• primer
• spray paint
• mask

1. The first step is to remove the old paint. I suggest you use paint strippers beacuse they work the best and are easy to use. Now there are environmentally safe painter strippers that you can buy at The Home Depot that work just as well.
   Another effective way to remove paint and rust as well is sandblasting, but can be expensive to buy.

2. Once the paint is gone, check to make sure that there are no signs of rust. If there is use a rust remover or a metal sponge to remove the it.
   Next you would want to clean it by washing it in soap to remove any dirt or oil it might have.

3. Next step is to setup a place where you can paint. Place newspaper over the area you are going to use to spray paint the metal.

4. Once that is finish spray 2 coats of primmer and let it dry. Then spray 2 coats of paint and let it dry. Finally spray the last coat and let it dry for a least 3 days before doing anything to it.

Tips & Warnings

• When spraying a coat slowly spray from one side to the offer.
• Always wear a mask when using a spray paint.
• Place the metal in the sun to speed up the dry process.
• Try not to spray too many coats of paint.
