Things You'll Need:
- floppy disk
- a bowl
- water
-
Step 1
The first thing you will need to do is remove the disk from its case. For this you will need a thin knife. After you have found the proper utensil you will want to slip the blade in between the two sides of the case. Now twist the knife so to allow yourself enough room to reach in and remove the disk.
-
Step 2
After you have removed the disk from its case you will need to find a container large enough to place the disk in. After you have found a container, fill it with room temperature water and place the disk inside. Allow the disk to be submerged for at least five minutes. After you have done this remove the disk from the water and set it somewhere safe to allow it to dry.

Step 3
After the disk has dried put the disk back inside the plastic casing and make sure the case snaps back together correctly. Also make sure you do not place the disk back inside the case upside down. If all goes well you should now have a working floppy disk.
