Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • quiet area
  • soft relaxing music
  • massage oil
  • massage lotion
  1. Step 1

Determine which type of massage is best to help you relax. Pressure point massage also know as acupressure can give relief to headaches associated with tension headaches, sinus pressure from pressure build up or sinus infection, eye pain which could of been caused from straining the eyes at a computer monitor or staring into traffic during a long commute.

  2. Step 2

select a acupressure massage which focuses on the pressure points of the head and neck areas.

  3. Step 3

Turn the lights down in the room you're using for massage.

  4. Step 4

Turn on some relaxing music to your taste and to the taste of your loved one whom you'll be giving a relaxing head massage to in order to reduce tension and stress.

  5. Step 5

For Sinus Congestion, press lightly on the area that is between the inner area of the brow line and above the corner of the eye. Press lightly holding for 3 to 4 seconds, then release. Continue this motion until you've went along the complete eyebrow area. Some discomfort may be felt during the 3 to 4 seconds of pressure and should immediately decrease discomfort once the pressure is released. This technique helps allow nasal and/or sinus drainage to become unblocked and flow.

  6. Step 6

For headaches located in the temple are of the skull, gently give a massage with your fingertips running across the temple area and into the hair line. As you are running your hands stimulating the blood flow to the skull gently apply 2 to 3 seconds of pressure as you glide your hands across the temple area, then release while continuing to run your hands into the hair line.

Tips & Warnings
  • For Eye pain see an Optician for an eye exam and health status check of your eyes.
  • Eye examines are recommended for annual check ups.
  • Headaches that continue after a massage should be followed up with a physician or other health care professional.
