I was recently nominated to organize my 25 year Catholic grade school reunion. I was honored to be a part of the planning process, but had no idea how difficult it would be to actually find people. So, I became sort of a super sleuth detective, if you will, and successfully located most of my former grade school classmates. Here are some helpful tips to find people for your reunion:

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a computer, phone book
  1. Step 1

Try to reach the last known person to have planned a reunion for your class or contact an alumni representative from your school. They may have a current list of your classmates.

  2. Step 2

Utilize social networking sites like Facebook to touch base with old friends. If you can’t find a certain classmate, search a sibling’s name and you may have a warm lead.

  3. Step 3

Look up names in the good old phone book. And if you can’t find your pals there, try to contact their parents, if possible.

  4. Step 4

Use the very useful search engine Yaba Search. Log onto www.yabasearch.com, punch in your classmate’s name and last known city of residence and soon you will be on the right track. Whitepages.com is another great site for finding people for your next class reunion.

  5. Step 5

Classmates.com is a really cool website dedicated to promoting reunions and bringing old friends together. You can search classmates by city, school and year of graduation and then contact them via email. There are some fees associated with this site but it’s worth the money to locate your friends and also easily create an online invitation to your event.

  6. Step 6

Remember, it’s the people who make the party fun, so try your best to find everyone!
