How to Make a Cheap Daily Shower Cleaner

If you don't like to squeegee your glass shower doors after your shower, and you want to avoid heavy-duty scrubbing, then take a few seconds after your shower to spray it down with a green cleaner. Not only is it cheaper than store bought brands of shower cleaners, but it helps keep glass doors from streaking, soap scum from building up and makes your once a week cleaning so much easier. Use it every day to keep water spots and calcium deposits from settling on glass, tile and fixtures. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Fill a plastic spray bottle with water up to a little less than half full. Add white vinegar almost to the top. Shake.

    • 2

Add 2 tablespoons of liquid dish detergent and swirl gently in the bottle. If you shake it too hard, you will get foam. If you like a fresh smell, you can add eucalyptus oil, but it is not necessary.

    • 3

Spray down the entire shower surface after showering, when the walls and shower area are still wet. If the beaded water on the walls doesn't run down the surface when you spray, add a little more liquid detergent to the bottle. After you spray there will be a slight vinegar odor, but it will go away once the shower dries.
