How to Clean a Kitchen Cabinet
House cleaning is a task you may love to hate—but it has to be done. Grease, food debris, smoke and dirt collect on kitchen cabinets and countertops every time you cook a meal. If you don't clean your cabinets, the grease and dirt builds up and your cabinets become discolored and develop an odor. Dilute one-part mild dishwashing soap in two-parts warm water in a bucket. Place a old sheet, a piece of cardboard or other covering on the floor in your kitchen.

Start scrubbing the base cabinets first with a sponge or scrubbing pad. Clean cabinet door handles and drawer pulls next. Wipe down the cabinets with a wet rag after cleaning the base cabinets.

Clean the upper cabinets next. Scrub and clean any cabinet door handles and drawer pulls. Wipe with wet rag to complete the cleaning process. Lastly, clean the countertops by scrubbing them lightly and wiping with a clean rag. After you are done cleaning, remove the floor coverings.

Tips & Warnings
Vinegar can also be used to clean your kitchen cabinets. If the buildup on the cabinets is light, a mixture of half water and half vinegar in a bucket will work.
For cabinets with a lot of buildup of grease and dirt, use a bottle of vinegar to clean the cabinets. Wipe cabinets with a wet towel to complete the cleaning process.
