1
You obviously need to purchase your scrapbooking supplies first. Cardstock, ribbon, embellishments, glue sticks, pop dots, etc.
-
2
Now you need to decide which website you want to sell your items on. Ebay and Etsy are probably the best places for you to sell homemade items. Ebay is much more expensive to list items, however, it also gets more traffic. Etsy cost much less, and has a very friendly, more personal atmosphere.

3
Check both Ebay and Etsy to see what others are getting for their items, and adjust your prices by what the average selling price is, and the work involved in creating your pages. Double scrapbook pages (left side and right side), seem to do much better than single pages.
-
4
Sign up for a Paypal account, if you don't already have one, because Ebay only accepts Paypal payments. Etsy has a better variety of forms of payment you can accept.
-
5
Start with making pages for your friends or family. Use these pages to create a portfolio for yourself, or try your hand at putting them online first, but still take photos to add to your portfolio.
-
6
Keep good records of your sales, because selling items online needs to be included on your tax records at the end of the year. It's nice to make money, however, Uncle Sam still needs his cut as well.
-
7
Pictures speak a thousand words, so make sure you take a variety of photos of your pages, showing full pages and close ups as well. Insert these photos in your items, whether it be on Ebay or Etsy.
-
8
When items sell, make sure you ship them out as quickly as possible, and be personal with your customers, because that usually makes them remember you, and your chances of them returning to do business with you is better.
-
9
Set up an ebay store, because most people prefer to buy their items immediately, then to have to battle other bidders to win it on auction. Also, many people prefer not to have to wait for an auction to end to get their items.
-
10
Set up a website of your own to sell your products. There are a numerous amount of websites online that will allow you to do this for a minimal cost, or for free.
-
11
Make a variety of pages, that will cover holidays, and other categories, such as fishing, school, baby boys, baby girls, military, etc.
-
12
In addition to making full pages, offer just the mattes for sale. Learn how to make paper piecing embellishments, and sell them individually.
-
13
Don't give up, just keep creating and listing, and eventually, you will start profiting an income from your business, and it won't cost you what it would if you had a store front. Plus, you get to work from the convenience of your home.
