We all want to lose weight and working out and exercise, combined with a healthy diet, is the best way to achieve that goal. But it isn't always easy to stay motivated. How to be motivated to work out and stay motivated lies with the reason why you want to work out in the first place.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy some form fitting workout clothes. And focus on the exercise itself, especially how you feel after a workout, rather than the numbers on the scale or on inches.

This motivation works best if you hate exercising but still want to lose weight. The tighter clothes helps with working out versus bulky clothes that can hamper your movements.

  2. Step 2

Have an exercise routine for you to do at home if you miss a day at the gym. Walk or run around the block a few times. Do lunges and leg lifts.

You don't have to go to the gym every day or every other day to work out. Plus, you no longer have an excuse if you can't go to the gym. Be careful not to overdo it though.

  3. Step 3

Move to the front of any exercise class.

The instructor will focus on you more and will serve to be a motivator for you.
