For cockeyed pictures, holes for hangings, or unfinished picture frames...here are plenty of ideas for getting your pictures perfect!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

For cockeyed or loopy pictures, try winding adhesive tap in at the center of the picture wire, making it less likely to slip on its hanger. You could also put some masking tape behind all corners of the frame or picture and press against the wall. Finally, you may wrap masking tape around the middle of a rounded toothpick placing it near the bottom of the frame on the back.

  2. Step 2

Prevent mistake holes when hanging pictures. You could do this by cutting out a paper pattern of each frame or picture and pin it to the wall. Correct and move it around until you have it as you like it. Perforate the paper with a pencil marking the spot you want on the wall.
Before nailing it into the wall, mark the spot with an x made of tape. This will help the plaster from cracking when you nail it.
Finally wet fingerprints show the precise spot for hanging, which then dry without marking.

  3. Step 3

To finish unfinished picture frames, stain them with shoe polish with the color of your choosing. After drying, wax them and you will get a beautiful wooden glow.
