Knowing what your article or website page rank is within the Google search engine results is a very important step in article marketing. Knowing where your article or website is ranked in the Google search engine allows you to optimize the article better to get it listed even higher in the Google search engine rankings. The Google search engine page rank really does matter because people are more likely to click on the first five search engine results compared to a lower search page ranking. The higher your articles search page ranking is, the more you increase your chances of getting more visitors and ultimately more money. This article will give you the instructions for finding your articles Google page rank.

Things You'll Need:

  • Published Ehow articles.
  • Google search engine.
  1. Step 1
     

    Finding Your Articles Google Page Rank.

    The first step is to go to the Google search engine at http://www.google.com.

  2. Step 2
     

    Next, open your article library and click on the Ehow article that you want to check the Google page rank on.

  3. Step 3
     

    Next, enter in the complete title of the article into the Google search engine box. Do not put parenthesis or anything. Just your complete article title and click the "search" button.

  4. Step 4
     

    Next, you will be taken to the Google search results page for the Ehow article title that you searched for. Take notice at the search numbers at the top. Example: the numbers should say something like: Results 1 out of 10 of about 21,300,465. This is the total amount of times that this search term or search words can be found on the Google search engine.

  5. Step 5
     

    Lastly, scroll down the search results until you come across your article. Count down how many links are on the Google search results page before your article. In other words, if your article can be found sixth in the search results, then you would have a sixth Google page rank. Now compare that to the total results number. In other words, your final page rank number compared to the total results would be something like this. Example: My article Google page rank is sixth out of 21,300,465 search results. That is awesome. Your article is sixth on the first page of the Google search results out of a total 21,300,465 search results.

Tips & Warnings
  • Knowing what your Google search page rank is will allow you to better keyword optimize your articles to get your Google page rank even higher.
  • To come up with your page rank number, just count down the page until you reach your article and this will be your articles Google page rank. Even if the article is on the second or third page of the Google search page results, keep counting until you find your article. This will be the Google page rank for your article out of the total number of results.
