      Pour 1 cup of white vinegar down the drain. The two ingredients will create a fizzing reaction that will eat away at any buildup on the pipes. Let this solution sit in the drain for 15 minutes.

      Boil 1 gallon water in a pot on the stove. Pour this hot water down the drain to clear out the cleaning solution and rinse the plumbing of bacteria and scum buildup.
