Things You'll Need:
- Cream Cheese
- Some kind of flat wrap (flavored or plain... even plain burrito wraps will work for this)
- Spanish green pitted olives
- Butter
- A skillet and stove
-
Step 1
Depending on how many wraps you want to make, the size of the wraps you buy, and how thick you want to spread the cream cheese mix, you will need a varying amount of cream cheese. Personally, I usually use about an ounce or two of cream cheese for about 4 small sized tortilla wraps. But keep in mind that the amount you will need could be drastically different. Just use your judgement.
Put the cream cheese you will use in an appropriately sized bowl. -
Step 2
Nuke the cream cheese in the microwave to soften it for about 15 seconds, but again, depending on how much you are using, use your judgement on this one.
-
Step 3
Cut up the green olives as small or large as you like them. If you love olives, use a generous amount, but if you just want a little olive flavor, use them sparingly.
-
Step 4
Mix the olives into the softened cream cheese until the olives disperse themselves pretty evenly.
-
Step 5
On a flat wrap, spread this solution evenly, making sure to get some on the ends - especially the end that will seal the whole wrap up. When spreading the cream cheese and olives, remember that a little goes a long way because it will all be wrapped up in a small roll. You don't need as much as you think you do.
-
Step 6
Roll the wrap into itself tightly so it stays together.
-
Step 7
Spread a little butter onto one side, and turn your stove onto a low setting and put a little butter on the skillet. The skillet should be hot enough that the butter sizzles a LITTLE, but not too much, because if it is too hot, it will burn your wraps instead of browning them nicely.
-
Step 8
When the skillet is at an appropriate temperature, place the wrap so that the side that you buttered is facing up towards the sky.
-
Step 9
If the skillet is at a good temperature, then the wrap should be a nice golden brown/brown in a brief minute. When it is, flip it over so the buttered side touches the pan.
-
Step 10
When both sides are heated to your satisfaction, dig in!
