Things You'll Need:
- Silk scarf / shawl / pashmina

Step 1
Worn to the side, tied in the back of the neck – bandana or kerchief scarves allow the woman to wear a small signature with an outfit, without taking away from the entire look of the ensemble. These scarves are often patterned, and smaller in size, from fourteen to sixteen inches. Most of these scarves are worn folded in half before being tied in the back of the neck.

Step 2
To stay current with styles, right now, scarves are worn popularly over one shoulder or down the front of the shirt and matched with simple and plain outfits such as jeans and t-shirts with boots. These types of scarves can be seen on all of the celebrity fashions that we have come to know and love and these scarves are available at a variety of fashion and outlet stores.

Step 3
Larger scarves and pashmina scarves are versatile and can be used as scarves or even as a wrap or a shawl with a little black dress or strappy shirt. These scarves are often three or four times longer than they are wide, and are worn draped around the neck two or three times, or looped through the scarf in half to create a look that can be worn tight to the neck, or more draped. Available in paisleys and full color styles, these pashmina scarves are made from a special silk combination of silk and goat wool (referred to as pashmina) and are welcome addition to any wardrobe to ward off the chill of winter.

Step 4
Longer, thinner silk scarves are popular to be worn looped once around the neck, with the ends of the scarf both hanging in front. These scarves are worn to match the outfit and are available in a variety fo colors. These long silk scarves can be the easiest to pair jewelry with as they create an interesting layered look.
