Things You'll Need:
- Egg
- Ham
- Cheese
- Frying pan
- Spatula
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Butter
- Hamburger bun
- Cook Stove
-
Step 1
Put the skillet on the stove.Place the frying pan on top of the stove.
-
Step 2
Spray with cooking oilSpray the frying pan with non-stick cooking spray. I love this stuff! It does a fantastic job of keeping your food from sticking and it makes cleanup a breeze.
-
Step 3
Turn the stove's burner on to medium low heat. If the eggs are cooked over too high of heat they burn and get rubbery.
-
Step 4
Crack the eggs into the pan. Use as many as you want per sandwich. I used three eggs in the pictured sandwich.
-
Step 5
Break the yolk of the eggs. This helps flatten the sandwich out somewhat. If you don't break them you get little humps in your eggs.
-
Step 6
Place hamburger bun on a plate.
-
Step 7
Place the ham on the bottom of the hamburger bun. Use as much ham as you want for each sandwich.
-
Step 8
Turn the eggs.
-
Step 9
Place the plate with the hamburger bun and ham in the microwave oven.
-
Step 10
Turn the microwave on for 15 to 20 seconds. This heats the bun and ham making it easier to melt the cheese.
-
Step 11
Take the plate, with the hamburger bun and ham on it, out of the oven.
-
Step 12
Butter the outside, both top and bottom, of the hamburger bun. For a low fat substitute for buttering the bun, spray with butter flavored cooking spray.
-
Step 13
Get your cheese ready to place on your sandwich. I use the sliced individually wrapped American cheese. Use as much cheese as you want. Any other kind of cheese can be substituted for the American.
-
Step 14
Remove the eggs from the frying pan, assembling the sandwich as you go. Put the layers of ham egg and cheese in any order that you desire.
-
Step 15
Place sandwich in the frying pan and brown both top and bottom.
-
Step 16
ServeOnce both sides of the sandwich are golden brown, place on a plate and serve.
