Apply the cold compress directly to the affected areas, and leave on the skin for about 20 minutes or until the cold pack loses its coldness. Make sure to clean the affected area before applying.

Apply aloe vera gel on the affected area. Aloe vera contains more than 100 potent compounds that can hasten skin healing and alleviate any itchiness associated with hives. Apply the gel twice daily. You can find aloe vera gel at your local health food store.

Apply an oatmeal and milk mixture to the affected area. The application of oatmeal can help stop the itching reduce the inflammation of the skin while the milk helps makes it soft.
