How to Rename a Web Bookmark

Did you save a bookmark, only to find that its name is something funky like "Pigsfeet.com, real tasty pickled pigs feet for you and me"? It's easy to change it.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet Access
• Internet Explorer
• Netscape Navigator

1. Open the Favorites menu and choose Organize Favorites.
2. Select the item you want to rename.
3. Click Rename.
4. Type in the new name over the old one.
5. Click Close.

Netscape Navigator

6. Open the Bookmarks menu and choose Go to Bookmarks.
7. Click on Item.
8. Choose Properties in the pop-up menu.
9. Click on the site name you want to change.
10. Type in the new name over the old one.
11. Click OK.

Tips & Warnings

• Rename a long site to something short and to the point.
• Press Ctrl+B on your keyboard for a shortcut to the box where you rename bookmarks.
