How to File Unemployment in Jacksonville Beach Florida

Filing for unemployment is probably one of the least favorite activities you will ever do, but it is necessary if you have been laid off from your job. The state of Florida makes it easy for all residents, including those from Jacksonville Beach, to file for unemployment online or at one of the conveniently located One-Stop Centers.

Things You'll Need

• Paycheck stubs/W2
• State identification
• Employer's contact information
• Bank account information (optional)

Instructions

1. Gather the documents and information you need to file your unemployment claim. To file unemployment in Jacksonville Beach or any other part of Florida you will need a list of all your employers from the past two years with their contact information, your driver's license or state ID, a recent pay check stub or W-2 form to determine your gross earning, and your bank account information if you want to receive direct deposit benefits.

2. Visit the Florida Workforce Innovation site to file your unemployment claim online (see Resources below for link). Use the gathered documents to assist in filling out the online forms. You can save your application to complete at a later time, but it must be completed within 72 hours of starting it.

3. Visit your nearest Florida One-Stop Center to file for unemployment benefits in person. Make sure you bring all of the documentation previously mentioned.
