How to Make Your Own Body Splash

After cleansing facial skin, the next step is to apply a toner. A skin toner helps to remove any leftover dirt on the skin, close the pores and prepare skin for a moisturizer. It keeps skin looking young while giving it a cool, refreshed feeling. Just as toners aid in cleansing and refreshing facial skin, body splashes do the same for the skin on the rest of your body. A body splash also adds a light fragrance to the skin, acting as a toner and a perfume all in one. Read on to learn how to create your own body splash at home.

Things You'll Need

• 1 cup distilled water
• 2 tbs. vodka
• 20-25 drops essential oil
• measuring cup
• measuring spoons
• medicine dropper
• storage bottle

Instructions

All Natural Body Splash

1. Using a measuring cup, measure and pour 1 cup of distilled water into the bottle in which the body splash will be stored.

2. Find the tablespoon sized measuring spoon, and measure and pour 2 tablespoons of vodka into the body splash storage bottle containing the distilled water.

3. Using a medicine dropper, add 20-25 drops of essential oil to the body splash, depending on preference.

4. Place the lid onto the body splash, and shake well.

5. Allow ingredients to combine in the bottle overnight. Apply to body as often as needed or desired.

Tips & Warnings

• Distilled water is best for your body splash because it is free of chemicals and other pollutants found in tap water. However, you may use tap water if desired. Vodka will act as both a preservative and a cooling agent in your body splash. The vodka is generally odorless but may add a slightly alcoholic scent to the body splash, however the aroma of the essential oils will mask this once added. When choosing a fragrance for the body splash, you may want to try using two essential oils (such as lavender and vanilla) in combination to create a unique fragrance.
