I have found that the best BBQ pork ribs are not made on the grill, but in the oven! Let me share with you how I do this.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 rack of pork ribs
  • a deep broiling pan with a grate
  • your choice of BBQ sauce
  • an oven
  • water
  • aluminum foil
  1. Step 1

    Set oven to 350 degrees

  2. Step 2

Prepare pork ribs by cutting to the appropriate size for your broiler pan

  3. Step 3

Fill the bottom part of the broiler pan (under the grate) about 1/2 way with water

  4. Step 4

Place ribs on the pan so that they do not hang off the edges

  5. Step 5

Cut aluminum foil to the right size to completely cover the pan (I use 2 pieces - one on each end - and they meet in the middle)

  6. Step 6

Cover ribs with aluminum foil and securely tuck the edges under, sealing the foil to the pan (leave a small gap somewhere for steam to escape)

  7. Step 7

Place the pan in the oven for approx. 60 to 90 min., depending on the thickness of your ribs

  8. Step 8

After the allotted time, remove pan from oven and carefully (there will be lots of steam!) remove the foil from the pan and discard

  9. Step 9

Add desired amount of BBQ Sauce to the tops of the ribs and place back in the oven for another 20 minutes, or until ribs are done.

  10. Step 10

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to add some desired seasonings to your meat before cooking. This is fine and does not affect the cooking or the tenderness
  • Always be careful when using a hot oven and handling hot cookware. Children should never cook alone or handle hot cookware. This is intended for adult use only
