How to Find The Best Deals On Cell Phones

Shopping for a new cell phone? Here's how to spend an hour or so on the internet and phone to find the best deals out there.

1. GIVE YOUR CURRENT COMPANY ANOTHER SHOT

   That's because it costs more to gain a new customer than it does to keep an existing one. Call your current provider if you are nearing the end of your cell phone contract, or better yet out of it altogether.

   Tell them that you are thinking about getting the new _____ (Just pick the latest phone from another company. By the way, the word "iPhone" works wonders if you aren't with at&t!) Most reps will automatically give you the "unadvertised" deal.

2. ARM YOURSELF WITH INFORMATION

   Check out the links below for a few of my favorite cell phone review sites. Pick the model that you want and start shopping.

3. DON'T DISCOUNT YOUR LOCAL PHONE STORE

   Sometimes your local Sprint/AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile store will match online deals. I've even had desperate reps offer free upgrades just to make the sale.

   ***Tip*** See step 2 and show up armed!

4. SHOP EBAY

   There are good deals on phones here. Just be sure to check the ESN Number before buying it so that you won't be stuck with a brick. Check out my other article below which explains more about ESN #'s
