How to Hang Paper Pictures With Magnets and a Ruler
If you have spare magnets and a spare ruler, then you can create a unique wall treatment for hanging your paper pictures. You will need to have purchased a glue gun and glue sticks to complete this project. However, the rest of the materials may be recycled from leftovers from past projects around your home. Be creative. The project is an ideal one for involving children. Does this Spark an idea?

Place a glue stick in the back of your glue gun. Plug the glue gun into a power outlet and let the glue warm up for about three minutes.

Lay out your other materials on your workspace -- a ruler (a colorful one preferably), ribbon, scissors, small magnets and your paper pictures.

Cut two 10-inch strips of ribbon. String them through the holes on each end of the ruler. If you ruler does not have holes, you can glue the ribbon strips to the back of the ruler using a glue gun. Once the ribbons are attached, tie them together in a bow. You will hang this on a nail on the wall once you are finished with your magnet wall treatment.

Squeeze a small dot of glue at each inch mark along the ruler. Immediately place a small circular magnet into the glue. Allow the glue to dry.

Squeeze a small dot of glue on the back of your paper picture -- such as a postcard -- and immediately press the opposite (or matching) magnet into the glue. Allow the glue to dry.

Place the paper picture on the magnet on the ruler once the glue has dried completely.
