Step 1
Alright Golf 101 takes sometime to learn and will come with practice. There are ways to practice without a golf club. What you want to do is take a golf grip without a golf club. A golf grip to use for this drill is made by lightlty touching your ring finger, pinky finger and middle finger to the palm of your hand. With your other hand depending if you are righty or lefty. If you are righty interlock your right pinky finger with your left index finger. And place your thumb of the left finger into the bottom part of your ring middle and index finger. Then line your right thumb finger up with the left thumb in a straight line. Now that we got the basics down, I will introduce a good drill. You want to stand with your left foot at a slight angle and have your right foot straight. Make sure you keep your shoulders square in order to have the proper swing. Posture is the key to sucess. Hold your arms out in front of you and then slowly drop them down, so they are in correct position. When swinging back turn the hands so that the back of the left hand faces the target and the palm of the right hand faces the target. Swing all the way up until the top of your left shoulder comes up to your chin. Then Swing down the same way you swung up. Now follow through with the right palm facing the target and your palm of the left hand facing the target. Now you have a start to the golf swing.

Step 2
There are Several other drills without a golf club but I want to tell you the basics on how to swing. There are ways also with a golf club. On how to practice hitting the ball without moving your knees. You do want to be dancing at the tee. This method can be done by lineing square up to the ball and locking your knees. It will keep your legs out of it causing you to hit the ball straight. Only swing the golf club up to waist height.

Step 3
When you want to hit a drive. The feet should be wider than shoulder width and the ball should be just inside your left foot. You definetly want to put rotation of the body into this to increase your drive distance. You can even practice your drive with the lock knee drill.

Step 4
Putting is the most prestigious part of the game. I will give you a drill. Start with the ball between your feet in the middle of your stance. You want to swing the putter in a pendulum shape. Slowly move the putter backward then forward following through the ball. If you want the ball to go farther tighted the grip. If you want it to go slower lighten the grip. You can put a dime on the ground on carpet or a putting green and putt to roll the ball over the dime. This will increase your accuracy. You should practice this alot. Remember keep your head down even after the ball is hit. Do not look to see where the ball is going. I Know this is one drill of putting, but everyone needs to start somewhere.

Some of you may not have the time, but you need to practice the drills in order to improve. You can even practice the first drill in a chair. If you want to improve your game do the drills.
