I love pumpkin seeds in recipes. They add a depth of flavor and a really nice crunch. It is easy to toast them and add them to recipes. Fallow these steps and you will be on your way to having a wonderful pumpkin seed treat. So when you clean the inside of your pumpkin save the pumpkin seeds they have so many uses.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Salt
  • Canola oil
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

  3. Step 3

Clean the pumpkin seeds in a strainer with water and let them air dry.

  4. Step 4

Toss the dry pumpkin seeds with the canola oil and salt.

  5. Step 5

Lay the pumpkin seeds in a single layer over the parchment paper on the sheet pan.

  6. Step 6

Bake for fifteen to twenty minutes. Until the pumpkin seeds are a light golden brown.

  7. Step 7

Now the pumpkin seeds are ready to be used in a recipe. Top a salad, add them to granola bars instead of other nuts and seeds. You can add them to pumpkin bread or top ice cream with them. They are a nice crunch and once they have been cleaned and toasted pumpkin seeds add to all sorts of recipes.

  8. Step 8

Freeze the seeds that you are not going to use right away to use in recipes all winter long.
