How to Make a Hooded Bath Towel For a Baby or Toddler

Bath time can be good clean fun for a child. Getting out of the tub can be a challenge on occasion as kids don't want to stop enjoying the water and the bath time toys. With their very own hooded towel they are more likely to want to get out and cuddle up and dry off.

• Bath Towel
• Hand Towel
• Thread

   Giving your baby or toddler a bath can be a very relaxing daily event, but when it comes time to drying them off, what better way than to make that special someone their very own hooded bath towel.

   Start by choosing a large bath towel and hand towel. I always choose the same color to use as the two will be sewn together.

   Pick out thread which is the same color as your towel as the stitching will be seen.

   Lay your bath towel flat so that you are viewing it width wise. Place your hand towel immediately above your bath towel so that it is centered. Stitch the two together where they touch. Following this, stitch the two ends of the hand towel together. This is what forms the hood.

   Hooded towels can also be personalized by hand sewing, or using an embroidery machine.
