Things You'll Need:
- Patience
- Love
- Guidance

Step 1
When a child cuts their hair it is usually out of response to something they have seen. This could be when they saw an adult cut their hair, if they get bored and begin to think about what they can cut, or just because they are curious about it.
-
Step 2
Do not be frustrated with your child, instead seek to understand the reason behind them cutting their hair. Ask them a series of questions:
- Why did you cut your hair?
- Do you like how it looks?
- Do you think that adults should help kids cut their hair?
- Why do you think adults need to help the kids? -
Step 3
These questions will allow for you to know why they cut their hair. Although more girls than boys cut their hair, it is a nice learning experience.

Step 4
Remember "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
