How to Grow Amaryllis Indoors
Amaryllis is a flower native to South Africa. They can be identified by their long, thick green stems with a large flower on top. The color of the flower can range from white to bright red, many of which have a combination of the two colors. It is the perfect flower to brighten up your living space. Soak the bottom half of the bulb in lukewarm water for three hours to provide water to the bulb and prepare it growing.

Fill the pot with soil. Add just enough water so the soil is moist to the touch. Mix the soil around to ensure all of it is moist.

Place the bulb in the center of the pot with the roots facing down. Let a third of the upper portion of the bulb stick out above the soil.

Put the pot near a sunny window. The more sun the plant gets, the bigger and healthier it will be.

Water the plant every other morning. The soil should always be slightly moist.

Use a pot that has drainage holes in the bottom to help regulate the amount of water the plant gets.
