How to Create Free Maps
When you are planning a trip, or even if you'd like to give a customer door-to-door driving directions to your business, a map is very beneficial. While you can purchase a map to be used for your trip, you can also create maps for free by taking advantage of online resources. After creating your map, you can print it, share it with others, or embed it in your website.

Visit a website such as Google Maps, MapQuest, or Yahoo Maps. These sites allow you to use their software to create your own customized maps.

Click on "Get Directions" (wording may vary slightly from website to website).

Enter the address for your starting point, which will be called Point A.

Enter the address for your final destination, or Point B.

Click the "Get Directions" (or similar) option again.

Review your map for door-to-door driving directions. You can also choose different options for the map to show, for example, the route that is the quickest---or the route that only uses rural roads.

Choose "Print" to print your map so that you can carry it with you on your trip. You can also click "Send" to email the map to someone else. Place the map on your website by clicking on the "Link" option.
