Instructions

    • 1

Select a rose in full bloom, early in the morning when there is still dew on the flowers.

    • 2

Cut the rose blossom off as close to the stem as possible with clippers. Wear gloves and hold the stem in place with one hand when doing this.

    • 3

Poke a piece of wire through the center of the rose blossom. Wrap the wire around a clothing hanger and hang in a cool, dark place for two weeks to dry.

Pick the rose petals from the blossom and use them for potpourri or give to someone as a romantic gift. The petals should fall off easily.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use roses all of the same color or an assortment of different roses. Hang multiple blossoms to collect more petals.

  • Rose thorns are extremely sharp so wear protection on the hands.
