For about $20.00 a year as of 2009, you can have your domain name registered privately with Godaddy. It's well worth it if you want to keep your name and location anonymous.

3. Domains by Proxy, the sister company of Godaddy, offers free private registration if you transfer at least five domain names to the Godaddy registrar. You can make your current domain names private and get your personal information blocked in a few days.
