Vinyl siding is a beautiful alternative to bricks and wood. Vinyl siding can also be easy to maintain with simple ingredients. This article will give you step by step instructions for cleaning your vinyl siding.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5 gallon bucket
  • Scrub brush with long handle.
  • Sponges
  • Hot water
  • White vinegar
  1. Step 1

    Cleaning Vinyl Siding.

The first step to cleaning and removing stains your vinyl siding is to take the water hose and soak down the vinyl siding with water. Then take a 5 gallon bucket and add 5 cups of hot water plus one bottle of white vinegar into the bucket.

  2. Step 2

Next, take a sponge and dip it into the 5 gallon bucket of white vinegar and hot water and then start scrubbing the vinyl siding in all of the areas that you can reach.

  3. Step 3

Next, when you have finished scrubbing the vinyl siding in all of the easy to reach areas with the sponge, take your scrubbing brush and finish scrubbing the vinyl siding in the hard to reach areas with the white vinegar.

  4. Step 4

Next, take the water hose and wash the vinyl siding off until all you have washed away all of the vinegar. Then look over the vinyl siding to see if the white vinegar removed all of the stains. If not, take your sponge and scrub brush and just apply the white vinegar without the hot water to the stains.

  5. Step 5

lastly, rinse the vinyl siding very well to remove all of the white vinegar. You should now be looking at a very clean vinyl siding.

Tips & Warnings
  • The hot water added to the white vinegar is to help loosen the stains. If the hot water dilutes the vinegar to much, then only add two cups of hot water to the vinegar.
