How to paint an RV.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paint
  • tape
  • brush/roller
  • sand paper
  • body filler
  1. Step 1

Make sure the surface that you are painting is clean and free of any dirt or grease. You will need to make sure that you have the right kind of paint to make sure that it will adhere to the surface that you are applying it to. I also suggest that you sand the surface with a fine sand paper to help the paint adhere.

  2. Step 2

Next you will need to patch any holes or scratches before you apply the paint. This can be done with body filler or bondo which ever you prefer.Try to apply the body filler as smoooth as possible as it will be less to sand off later. The main thing that you want to do here is to make sure that the surface is smooth because any imperfections on the surface will still be visible after the applying the paint.

  3. Step 3

Now you are ready to paint. I suggest that you use a roller and apply sevveral thin coats. Start at the top and work you way down. Be sure to tape off any areas that you do not want to get paint on.

Tips & Warnings
  • The more time you spend preparing the surface the eaier it will be to paint.
