Aspen's in the FallLet's start in the Colorado Rockies in mid to late-September. The color diversity is not as numerous as other areas of the Nation, but the golden Aspen trees against a backdrop of Evergreens is a beautiful sight. Not to mention the added bonus of being in the Rockies.

New England Covered Bridge in the FallOn the East Coast there are quite a few destinations you may want to consider for viewing the Fall foliage. New York's Catskills, Pennsylvania's covered bridges, Maine's beautiful burnt oranges or Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains, it's your choice. Some say their is not a more beautiful place than New England in the Fall. Try visiting from late-September to November depending on the elevations and area.

Columbia River GorgeFrom mid-October to mid-November travel to the west Coast and visit Oregon's Columbia River Gorge. The Gorge winds its way through the Cascade Mountains and is truly a sight to behold in the Fall. The area is also known for its amazing waterfalls.

Lake of the OzarksTraveling to the Midwest in late-October? Visit the Lake of the Ozarks which has the added bonus of being able to view the Fall spectacle lakeside.

Lost Maples Natural AreaNot to leave the Southern States out, try visiting Lost Maples Natural Area in Texas. Most people do not associate Texas with Fall beauty, but this park may surprise you with its Uvalde Bigtooth Maples. The best time to visit is mid-October through mid-November.
