Step 1
Find a picture of someone whose body you want and place it in an area you look at everyday. Picture your body looking like that and think about how your next workout will get you one step closer to that goal.
-
Step 2
Once a week (or before you take a shower or go to the gym if you like), take all of your clothes off and stare at your body in the mirror. Look at areas that you like and areas that need improvement. Think about how your workouts will change your body for the better. VISUALIZE the body that you want.
-
Step 3
Write out a workout plan. Know exactly what you are going to do before you go to the gym and record your activity afterwards. Note your progress once every couple of weeks and congratulate yourself.
-
Step 4
Take a picture of your body once a month. Note the changes your body has made and the work required to get where you want to be.
-
Step 5
Measure your body once a month. Record your measurements and review where you are improving and what needs more work.
-
Step 6
Buy new clothes that fit your new body once it begins to change shape.
-
Step 7
While in the gym, wear headphones and listen to music that motivates you. Do not let yourself be distracted and focus on your workout.
-
Step 8
Whenever you don't feel like working out on a day you are supposed to, think about how much work you have done and how much of a waste it would be to throw that all away. Tell yourself you can do it.

It helps to have a workout buddy that will get on you if you try to flake and never never never never weigh yourself. Holy hell never weigh yourself. ;^)
